About MediaMule
MediaMule is a Podcast Management System that allows you to upload video and audio podcasts to your website. The system is written in PHP. MediaMule requires a Linux compatible hosting setup for integration, and a MySQL database.
MediaMule is used on Digital Media websites such as Ballywire Media.
How Can I Get It?
MediaMule is developed by Heraghty Internet Consultants. It is not available for download from any website. The system was developed on a bespoke basis, but can be used for any website. You must contact Heraghty Internet if you want to purchase it.
FEATURES INCLUDE:
Flash Audio/Video Player
MediaMule uses a Flash video/audio player so that your site visitors can watch videos, listen to audio, or download files directly from your website.
Add/Edit/Delete Categories
MediaMule also lets you create unlimited categories and sub-categories, to manage your files. For example, you could create a category called "Punk" and tag your disco tunes with this category.
Your website visitors would then see a link to "Punk" on your website. You could then create a sub-category called "Sex Pistols" within Punk, etc.
Batch Upload via FTP
You can upload multiple files at once to your website via FTP. Just upload them to MediaMule's FTP folder, and the CMS will recognise them the next them you log in.
At that point, you can add/edit or delete the files, associate them with specific categories, etc.
iTunes compatible RSS Feed
For each category and sub-category, MediaMule automatically generates an iTunes compatible XML/RSS feed. All feeds also comply with the WC3's XML standards.
WYSIWYG Editor
MediaMule makes use of an on-screen editor, which allows you to edit and format audio/video item descriptions with ease.
